My story

Hi, my name is Nikolaos Moumouris. I am a personal trainer who offers online and one-to-one sessions, specializing in strength and conditioning, as well as coaching for football and running.

My passion for sport and fitness began at the age of 12 when I started my career as a 400-meter hurdler, a journey that lasted for 22 years. This quickly developed into a passion and since then my life has become deeply intertwined with athletics, fitness, and well-being.

I started my professional health and fitness career 34 years ago when I graduated from university as a physical education teacher and running coach. Following that, I began working at various gyms as a fitness coach and personal trainer, while also teaching part-time at a school as a PE teacher.

Nineteen years ago, I obtained my UEFA B coaching certificate and began working with various football clubs in different capacities, including coach and conditioning trainer. My experience spans various leagues, from the Amateur Football Association League to the Greek Professional League.

For the past seven years, I have lived in Edinburgh, where I earned a Level 3 personal trainer certification and a Level 4 strength and conditioning certificate. I have since returned to working in gyms as a fitness coach and personal trainer.

Throughout this journey of working with and motivating athletes and fitness enthusiasts, I adopt a holistic approach to client care. I ensure that every aspect of a client’s life is taken into account when designing their exercise program and nutrition advice.

The fitness industry promotes temporary fixes that often fail, and I am tired of witnessing people struggle with misguided diet plans and ineffective exercise advice.

In the past 22 years, I’ve consistently seen that no two individuals benefit from the same exercises in the same way. Each person is unique, with distinct capabilities and goals. This is why training must be tailored to these individual differences, and the most effective way to do this is through personalized approaches.

Regardless of whether your objective is to achieve weight loss, enhance strength, improve athletic performance, or address other fitness-related goals, such as posture and flexibility, my training methodologies are specifically designed to facilitate the attainment of these aims. I employ a theoretical and evidence-based approach to ensure the effectiveness of your progress toward your desired outcomes.
